Finally, Taylor swift sniped back at Kanye West (after the rapper claimed that he was the one to bring her to fame), while accepting her Grammy’s 2016 award of the album of year, for 1989 on Monday, February 15.
Taylor happily accepted the award and pointed out that she is the first women to receive the Grammy honor for second time in the history. She than spoke impassioned at T.L.O.P. Rapper, 38, and said with her shaky and strained voice;
“I want to say to all the young women out there- there are going to be the people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishment on your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who loved you, who put you there. And that will be greatest feeling in the world”
The female members including Swift’s BFF Selena Gomez and Alabama Shakes in the audience, beamed in response.
Kanye first unveiled his new album “The Life of Pablo” at Yeezy Season 3 show at Madison Square Garden in NYC. During the show, he named a few celebrities in his new album including Taylor Swift. In one of his famous tracks, he mentioned that he “might have Sex” with Taylor swift because he made “that bitch famous”.
A few hours later, Taylor’s rep went viral with US weekly, and said that the singer “warned Kanye about the release of his lyrics with misogynistic message”!
Contrary to this, Taylor did not gave any response on the objectionable lyrics.
Kanye tweeted on Friday, February 12 and claimed that Taylor came up to her with this idea by saying “3rd thing I called Taylor and had a hour long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings” also, “I’m not even gone take credit for idea… it’s actually something Taylor come up with. She was having dinner with one of our friends whose name I will keep out of this and she told him I can’t be mad at Kanye because he made me Famous!”
