How To Make An All American Pizza Crust?

Although pizza basically originated in Italy but all American pizza crust basically belongs to native America. The specialty of American pizza is that it contains vegetable and/or olive oil while the Italian chefs don’t use these oils in their pizzas. All American pizza is one of the most demanded and yummiest pizzas of America; all the Americans simply love to eat this pizza in hot or cold form while watching a movie at night.

Ingredients:

  • Flour (should be all-purpose)………………..two and a half cup
  • Yeast (use fast rise form for better results)………1 ¼ ounces
  • Salt………………………………………………………..one and a half teaspoons
  • Water……………………………………………………one cup
  • Vegetable oil………………………………………..two tablespoons

Method:

First of all you need to take a mixer bowl. Next you need to add salt, flour one cup and the above mentioned amount of yeast in the bowl. After blending these three ingredients, you need to mix oil and water in a different pan. Heat the oil and water combo at around 130 degree F. After they have blended together, you need to add this to the mixture of flour.

Next stage will be the blending stage. Now you will blend the mixture at slowest pace possible and stop when the mixture becomes moistened. Next you need to beat the mixture keeping the medium pace for around three minutes.

You need to make the dough a little bit firm and for this purpose you need to use your hand. You need to stir the dough with your hand and at the same time; you need to add the remaining flour little by little. Now you need to pound on the moist surface of the mixed flour for at least 4 to 5 minutes.

After the dough is mixed, you need to divide the dough into two equal portions. For the next procedure you must add grease or oil on your hands and especially on your fingers. With your oil lidded hands you must adjust each portion of the dough into a pan of 12 inches or 14 inches. Keep in mind to oil the base of the pan before adding dough in it. At the end you need to take almost a quarter cup of shredded cheese and sprinkle it on the dough. This shredded cheese will help the dough keep a crunchy and fresh look.

Your dough is ready, in order to prepare the pizza you need to add the pizza sauce on the top of the dough and spread it evenly. Each pizza might require 3/4th cup sauce. You might cover the pizza with yummy shredded cheese after adding your desirable, mouthwatering toppings.

You need to bake the pizza for 20-30 minutes after setting the temperature at 400 degree F. You can adjust the timings of the pizza according to your need because if the cheese melts and pizza edges get light brown and crunchy in less time, then the pizza is ready.
