Bangs, bangs, bangs! Who doesn’t love them? Blunt bangs, fringe bangs…They’re all so cute! Too bad it’s so expensive to go the salon. Not to mention time consuming. Have no fear, my friends, Carly Humbert has the answer! Her YouTube tutorial will show you just how easy it is to save on time and money by cutting your bangs at home. And trust me; it’s nowhere near as daunting as it sounds. Carly has a method that is simple and effective!
The first, and most important, step is to seperate your bangs from the rest of your hair. Carly does it by combing her bangs away from the rest of her hair and parting them in the shape of a triangle. You’ll want to comb through your bangs several times to ensure there are no fly aways.
The next step is super easy. Carly takes her freshly combed bangs and pulls them into twist before cutting. Using a good pair of scissors (you definitely don’t want to use your gift wrapping scissors) she cuts along the bottom of the twist, creating an uneven cut that actually works really well with the rest of the process. You can check your progress periodically by curling your bangs just a bit after a couple snips. Once you’re satisfied with the length it’s a quick snip through the center to perfectly straight bangs!
Easy right? Right! Carly’s a total pro! Take look at her quick video, she goes into full detail to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the whole process. Have fun!
