The 200 year Old mummified monk who currently is in a safe custody of national forensic expertise at Ulaanbaar was reportedly stolen from a cave in the Kobdsk region by someone who then hid the monk in his house was about to sell it off over Mongolian border at very high rate but soon the 45 years old Enhtor was arrested.
The 2 century old monk found on 27th January in a Mongolian province is said to be alive but in a very rare and deep and spiritual state of meditation known as Tukdam that is one step away from making a man real life Buddha. A number of investigations have been carried out about the monk, which shows that he may have been a Priest/lama or a teacher of Tibetan Buddhism.
According to the professor of Mongolian institute of Buddhist art, the Lama sitting in the lotus position shows as if he is preaching Sutra.
A famous Buddhist monk Dr Barry Kerzin who used to take care of the mediators who were in the Tukdam state said:
If a mediator succeeds in meditating for more than 3 weeks which is a bit rare, his body shrinks and he is left with his clothes, nails and hair only which means that he can now become a Buddha as he finds the “rainbow body” which is said to be the highest spiritual level.
Researches show that over past 50 years there have been 40 such cases of meditating monks in India including Tibetan.
